Help us welcome back the Kuaka (Bar-tailed Godwit) from their annual Asian migration to Ambury Regional Park. This event will include a talk from a New Zealand birding expert, a small afternoon tea, and a guided walk and bird observation (approximately 1km each way), all in collaboration with Birds New Zealand.
Who: Suitable for adults and older children with a keen interest in the environment and ornithology.
When: Sunday, 22 September - 12.30pm to 3.00pm
Where: Ambury Regional Park, 43 Ambury Road, Māngere Bridge, Auckland. Meet at the Barn (near the main carpark).
What to bring: Appropriate shoes for walking, a water bottle, binoculars, sun protection and rain coats.
