Auckland Zoo Conservation Visit
Ages 4+. Calling all junior paleontologists! Auckland Zoo and Auckland Council Libraries are joining forces to deliver free conservation learning sessions across Tamaki Makaurau. Travel back in time to feel fossils, explore ancient eggs, and learn about prehistoric giants that once roamed the Earth. Then, dig your way to the Dinosaur Discovery Track at the Zoo and put your knowledge to the test!

Make it: Jungle Cat Bookmark
Ages 7+. Come and make a cool jungle cat bookmark for all your holiday reading! Tigers, lions, panthers and more. All materials provided.

Crafts for Neurodivergent Kids
All ages. Neurodivergent tamariki and a caregiver are invited to join us for a special crafts session. Registration is required, please go to the desk or register here: https://events.humanitix.com/crafts-for-neurodivergent-kids
Held in the quiet library Event Space, away from the bustling children’s area, tamariki will enjoy creating crafts with their caregivers. Space is strictly limited to 10 children. Caregivers of the registered child can expect a phone call from one of our friendly librarians to ensure that this special neurodivergent session is meeting the needs of the child.
All materials will be provided.
Please do NOT register your neurotypical children for this event.

All ages welcome. Our friendly librarian will read stories for all ages. Wear your pjs and bring a pillow or your favourite toy to snuggle up to.

DIY Make it: Origami Jumping Frog
Ages 5+. These nifty little frogs jump with you press down on them. Please note: instructions and materials will be provided; this is a self-directed activity and will not be led by librarians.
