The Ngaio Marsh Awards, in association with Auckland Libraries, invites booklovers to a thrilling event featuring five talented local storytellers.
As crime and thriller writing has evolved from puzzle-like mysteries to books delving deeply into psychology, people and places, it has continued to be one of the world’s most popular forms of storytelling. What draws us to darker tales?
Bestselling romantic suspense and thriller writer Brynn Kelly will chair five-time Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Novel finalist Ben Sanders, and past Ngaios finalists and longlistees Eileen Merriman, Mark Wightman, and SL Beaumont, for a criminally good conversation about crafting page-turning storylines, memorable characters, and the impact of place and themes.
Doors open at 6 pm. Light refreshments served on arrival. Panel talk starts at 6:30 pm.
