Join us in the theatre at Lopdell House for a new short film that charts the fascinating history of the Victoria Theatre made by Margot McRae (one of the Vic's trustees).
The Vic has a great story to tell from its beginnings in 1912 when it was a "picture palace" showing silent films, to the advent of the "talking movies" and to the digital age, the Vic encompasses the history of cinema within New Zealand cinema.
Following this will be a documentary about the iconic St James Theatre, with film maker Robin Kewell and Margot McCrae sharing stories from behind the scenes.
