An Asparagus bed is a permanent bed that continues to produce delicious spears for 30 years if well-established and well-maintained.
In this workshop, we will show you how to set up your bed and how to care for your asparagus patch to ensure it continues to produce year after year.
This is a hands-on workshop in the garden, so please wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat. Bring your own water bottle. We will provide garden gloves and tools for the day.
If the weather is showery, we can work with that, but bring a rain jacket. If the weather is really bad, we will postpone within 24 hours and let you know the new date.
We will have some plants available for sale on the day ($3 ea, please bring cash).
