GALS: Auckland's Rainbow Choir are back in Aotea Square for 2025. So, don your Christmas hat, get in the spirit and enjoy the harmonious voices of GALS.
GALS was established as the first LGBTQ+ choir in New Zealand over 30 years ago and has been going strong ever since! GALS holds concerts twice a year (sometimes more) and participates in various Pride events at home in Tāmaki Makaurau.
GALS is a New Zealand Choral Federation member and has participated in choral events and festivals such as Singfest and Out and Loud. GALS has also proudly performed at global festivals, including Dublin and Bologna.
This event is part of Auckland Live Christmas in Aotea Square 2025 - a free, all-ages celebration in the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau, running from Friday, 28 November to Sunday, 21 December 2025.
Over 24 days, Aotea Square comes alive with live music, circus, film, karaoke, toi whakaari (performance) and whānau-friendly fun, plus large-scale artworks including The Pavilion and four-metre-tall light installation The Neon Star by Angus Muir.
