Watch a live magic show and magic demonstrations, then be taught how to perform your own magic tricks. This workshop features guided practice and safe, easy-to-use props. Learn two cool magic tricks in 90 minutes!

Compost Collective Microgreens: Thursday 18 December 10.00-10.45am
A Workshop for children and their caregivers. Learn about food waste and why it's important not to put food waste in a landfill.
Then make a microgreen take-home kit. We will add seeds and decorate the containers (please bring ice cream containers if you can). Microgreens are a great way to reduce plastic waste at home and save money. Plus, it will be fun to watch your microgreens growing on a windowsill and then you can eat them! They grow quickly.

Join LITTLE SCIENTISTS at Ōrewa Library on Saturday 20 December any time from 10.00am-11.30am and have a go at some amazing science experiments for kids ages 5 - 10 years old!
All experiments are hands-on, with children completing every step from the start to the end with Little Scientists guiding them through it!

Wastewise Litter Sort and DIY T Shirts bags: Tuesday 20 January 2026 10.00-11.30am
Join the WasteWise Team for a fun-filled litter hunt and sorting activity, followed by tips and tricks for recycling right and reusing what you already have at home. You will also get to make your own DIY reusable bag from an old t-shirt!
Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring an old, preloved t-shirt for your creation!
Recommended for school-aged children, ages 6+. Children must be supervised by their caregiver.
