Te Manu Waiata returns, in partnership with Te Puna Creative Hub - a space dedicated to nurturing rangatahi and artistic innovation in West Auckland - presented in the wonderful Kōmanawa Multi-functional Digital Theatre.
This year, exploring the journey of Ngā Whetu o Te Pō | The Stars of the Night. Anchored by 15-year-old soprano Kākahu Coughlan, the evening features outstanding young musicians in a celebration of rangatahi artistry and classical performance.
Inspired by the whakataukī “Me he korokoro tūī” - likening a beautiful singing voice to the throat of a tūī - this evening celebrates the dual beauty of voice and performance, brought to life by our young artists, performing in concert for music development. We aim to raise funds to further music education and offer future concerts for tomorrows musical & artistic innovators.
Refreshments provided at intermission.
