Music in Parks takes up its new residence at North Hub for four nights of free music, starting with an evening dedicated to jazz at Milford Beach Reserve. Come settle in by the sand's edge for the delightful sounds of Miho Wada and The Curls.
Flute and sax player Miho Wada performs a blend of Afro-Cuban flute, Japanese pop, and irresistible dance-happy grooves with her distinctive pan-Pacific flavour. Described as one of the most entertaining jazz acts in Aotearoa, Wada and her band’s infectious positivity leaves audiences uplifted.
Opening the show are The Curls, an Auckland-based jazz pop ensemble, with lush vocals and guitar grooves inspired by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Bill Withers, and Tom Misch.
