Don't be bored, be BARD!
Come and be part of The PumpHouse Shakespearean Players and put together a performance with all the works… in just 5 days!
The week will consist of:
• Devising a Shakespearean performance from scratch
• Developing characters
• Creating props and costumes
• Performing Shakespeare outdoors in front of a live audience!
Each day will feature some Shakespeare, some prop and costume making, some drama games, but most of all FUN!
Don’t miss your chance to perform in the Outdoor Amphitheatre just like the professionals do! Exile, cruel uncles, disguises, forest, mock lessons in love, estranged family, love and transformation, a famous speech, a happily ever after, and no one dies… Come and try your hand at one of The Bards’ famous comedies, As You Like It.
Outdoor performance in The PumpHouse Amphitheatre for friends and whānau is at 7pm on Friday 9 January.
For ages 12-18
Due to having to learn a script in a week, this course is not suitable for anyone under 12.

The script is abridged to create an hour-long performance. Attendees don’t have to have any drama experience, but a willingness to join in is 100% recommended.
