What makes a community? Who lives there? What will they need? Create your own kid-sized building with recycled materials, and add it to our expanding cardboard village in the Kōkiri-Ngātahi Auditoriums. Ideal for children aged 5 years and up.
Painting Miniatures - Come and Try!

Bring your own miniature or choose from one of ours, and try out different painting techniques to bring it to life! Miniatures are small character models used in many role-playing and fantasy table-top games.
For young people aged 10 to 18 years only. Bookings essential.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Playground

Bring a soft toy and snack for a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at the park, with our friends from Rānui Library and Pātaka Kōrero Kaewa / Mobile Libraries! Activities include storytime, bubbles and free play. Ideal for whānau with small children. If it rains, we may choose to relocate to Te Manawa. Stay tuned for updates via our socials.
