Summer Fun in the Park is Back! Get ready for magic, games, music, kai, and more!
Celebrate the end of the summer holidays with a fun-filled morning of FREE entertainment for the whole whānau at Olympic Park! Hosted by New Lynn Community Hub and our wonderful collaborators, this event is packed with activities, games, and performances near the playground.
Event Highlights:
10:15am – Magic Show
Enjoy a fantastic performance to kick off the morning!
From 10:00am:
- Make your own smoothie on the smoothie bike
- Conduct a science experiment and create your own sherbet
- Bounce around in the Hunger Ball
- Enjoy a free sausage sizzle
- Explore the Library Bus
- Play in the Watercare Wonder Wai trailer
- Listen to live music from a brass band
- Take part in giant games, or join Play Ball Active and Aktivezone
- Get creative with clay play and crafts
- And more!
There’s something for everyone, fun for all ages!

Sunhat, sunscreen, water bottle, and a mat to sit on.
Getting There
Parking is not available at Olympic Park. Please plan your travel via the AT Transport website.
Walk from New Lynn Transport Centre or take Bus 24R.
Alternative off-road parking is available on Portage Road.
Rain Plan
If it rains, the event will be postponed to 31 January, at the same time.
