A storytelling session that relates to the Lunar New Year.
11AM – 1PM: Macrame Workshop
Celebrate Chinese New Year with a fun and creative macrame workshop suitable for ages 8+. Learn basic macrame knotting techniques and create a beautiful bow knot decoration, a symbol of good luck and happiness to welcome the New Year.
2:30PM-4PM: Korean Paper Hanbok and Bag Craft
Participants can create beautiful hanbok and paper bags and take home a piece of Korean heritage. It’s a hands-on activity that combines creativity with cultural appreciation. (please use Korean money bag image in the folder)
2PM-4PM: Chinese Light Clay Workshop
Participants could create Lunar New Year-themed pieces, such as horses (for the Year of the Horse), lucky charms, or traditional motifs. It’s a fun, hands-on way to engage with Chinese craft traditions while encouraging creativity.
