Join us for a special Lunar New Year Story Time filled with wonder, culture, and creativity!
Enjoy a joyful session of stories, songs, and hands‑on children’s activities celebrating the spirit of the Lunar New Year. We’re also delighted to host a guest children’s book author from Kowhai Studio, who will share a reading from their enchanting Lantern Festival–themed picture book — a highlight not to be missed!
Perfect for families and young readers, this festive session invites children to explore traditions, spark their imaginations, and welcome the new year with light and laughter.

11AM – 1PM: Macrame Workshop
Celebrate Chinese New Year with a fun and creative macramé workshop suitable for ages 8+. Learn basic macramé knotting techniques and create a beautiful bow knot decoration, a symbol of good luck and happiness. This beginner-friendly activity is perfect for families and children, and everyone will take home a festive handmade decoration to welcome the New Year.
2:30PM-4PM: Korean Paper Hanbok and Bag Craft
Participants can create beautiful hanbok and paper bags and take home a piece of Korean heritage. It’s a hands-on activity that combines creativity with cultural appreciation.
2PM-4PM: Chinese Light Clay Workshop
Participants could create Lunar New Year-themed pieces, such as horses (for the Year of the Horse), lucky charms, or traditional motifs. It’s a fun, hands-on way to engage with Chinese craft traditions while encouraging creativity.
