Celebrate Lunar New Year with free experiences and colourful installations across the city centre!
From 2 February - 4 March, glowing lightboxes pop up in Te Komititanga, showcasing vibrant artworks that welcome in the new year.
Recollections and reflections, symbolism and spiritualism, aspiration and inspiration; the artworks draw from traditional and contemporary ideas of what it is to simultaneously start anew and move forward in a manner framed by the Year of the Horse.
This collection of artists includes established educators, young students, practitioners of traditional art forms, innovators of contemporary practice, travellers and entrepreneurs:
