Hinamatsuri is an annual festival in Japan that often features tiered displays of female and male dolls, including an Emperor, Empress, and musicians. When Motoko was young, she never wanted to be the bride; she wanted to be one of the musicians.
This performance brings the tiered display to life. Featuring musicians and dancers, it invites you to witness an improvised dance and music performance. Listen to your feelings, imagine what the dancers are thinking and seeing, and—if you’re in the mood—join in!
Please note: These sessions will be recorded (both audio and video). For those taking part, an image consent form will be sent for you to sign.
