Join the Whau River Catchment Trust for a relaxed and rewarding community weeding bee, where we’ll work together to care for our local native plants. Over the course of 2.5 hours, volunteers will gently remove invasive weeds by hand, helping create the space and conditions our native species need to thrive.
No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Along the way, you’ll pick up practical knowledge about weeds and restoration and connect with others who care about looking after our local environment.
Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing and bring a sunhat, sunscreen, closed-in shoes, and a drink bottle. There isn't any shelter, so if it's raining don't forget a raincoat.
All ages are welcome, though under 12s must have adult supervision. Gloves will be provided.
