Kauri Clay Friends

Who lives around the kauri tree? Kauri snail, pīwakawaka and perching Lily! Learn about these and other kauri friends, then create your own out of self-drying clay. Join Pest Free Kaipātiki and Birkenhead Library for a fun kid’s holiday activity celebrating kauri trees and the plants and animals that call kauri forests their home. For ages 5+ parental supervision required, bookings essential through Humanitix.
Walkthrough Whale with Project Jonah

5 Sessions availbale each day, sessions run for 1 hour. Limited spaces so bookings are required through Humanitix. Fun for the whole whānau, each individual participant must book a ticket. Gold coin donations greatly appreciated. Explore inside a life-sized whale, learn whale biology, and how you can help our larger-then-life marine friends!
Recreators Suncatcher Workshop

In this workshop, our friends from the ReCreators, will show you how to create vibrant Sun Catchers, which can sparkle in the sunlight and look amazing! We use laser cut upcycled cardboard and plastic and then decorate using paint and dried flowers. Limited spaces so bookings are recommended. For ages 7+
