Two new NZ books re-examine how we learn about the world around us.

Case Studies and The Collector look at how specimens ended up far from home.

How does 'collecting' affect the environment and relationships? How do we categorise and name things? How does 'science' perpetuate or challenge assumptions about the natural order?

Hear art historian Andrew McKay, floral artist Felicity Jones and Auckland Museum invertebrates curator Leilani Walker discuss such gnarly questions with noted publisher Nicola Legat.

We will have books to borrow or buy.

This is an EcoFest event.
