Our AKL - Free Love Food Hate Waste - Microgreens_dzmoul4e.png

Join Sarah Williams at Orewa Library for this Love Food Hate Waste Workshop – grow your own microgreens and sprouts.

Learn how to cultivate these nutritious greens at home, from seed to harvest and create a salad using freshly harvested greens with a use-up-the-fridge green dressing.

Microgreens have nutritional value and are also a cost effective green food that you can grow in your home all year round, saving plastic and food waste.

The workshop will also cover practical advice on how to avoid food waste in the kitchen including how to store fresh produce to help it last longer.

Participants will make their own tray of microgreens to take home so please bring a plastic container and lid such as a shallow take away container.

This Love Food Hate Waste workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council, Orewa Library and is delivered by Compost Collective.
