This course will introduce you to the head drawing methods taught by masters Frank Riley, Andrew Loomis and John Asaro. Through this you will learn how to see the head in shapes and planes for doing portrait paintings and drawings and learn how to accurately see proportions, where to place the features on a face.
By the end you will be able to capture portraits with confidence, speed and efficiency. In the long term, using the charcoal pencil as a brush will also teach you how to paint when you move on to other mediums. This portrait drawing class occasionally includes live models for observation and practice.
