Join us for a hands-on, seasonal workshop all about flowers you can start from seed in autumn. Learn which hardy annuals, biennials, and perennials thrive when sown from April to May and leave with the confidence to grow a garden that bursts into bloom come spring.
We’ll cover the best cool-season flowers to sow for spring blooms, including sweet peas, poppies, aquilegia, hollyhock, calendula and more. You’ll learn when to sow, whether to direct-sow or start in trays, and exactly how to care for seedlings through the cooler months.
This session includes a handy info sheet, tips on soil mixes, germination tricks, and the key timing needed to get strong, healthy plants ready for early spring planting.
Please bring a small box or bag to carry your seed containers home and any gardening gloves you would prefer to use.
Come and sow with us, learn new skills, and set your spring flower garden up for success!
