Sponge Gardening For Flood Resilience (1)

Learn how to transform your garden into a spongy ecosystem designed to hold water and stay absorbent throughout the seasons.

In this workshop we will learn what sponge gardening is and how to identify opportunities to make existing gardens more spongy, as well as go through the design process of planning your sponge garden at home.

No gardening experience or equipment required.

This workshop will involve some walking so wear comfortable clothing/shoes and bring a water bottle.

Please contact us for a kōrero if you have access needs.

This event is part of the Albert-Eden and Puketāpapa Eco Festival. With over 200 local events that celebrate community, climate action, and sustainability, you can check out other festival events on Facebook or download our full festival programme on the Eco Fest site.
