RUN IT BACK️ - the latest exhibition by the rangatahi of Kākano Youth Arts Collective.
The title 'Run It Back' reflects the idea of returning with renewed energy, building on what we’ve learned, pushing creative boundaries and continuing our journey as artists. This exhibition showcases a new body of work developed during our weekly studio sessions.
The exhibition brings together a range of artworks exploring creativity, identity, storytelling and the experiences of our young artists.
They have been exploring a range of techniques, including:
- woodblock printing
- screen printing
- acrylic painting
- clay work
- spray painting
- combining traditional methods with contemporary expression.
The exhibition will also feature moments of performance during the opening celebration.
Opening event: Wednesday 20 May at 11am.
Gallery hours: Thursday 21 May - Sunday 24 May from 10am to 4pm.
Entry is free, there’s plenty of parking and a café nearby.
If you're in the area, we’d love for you to come along, meet the artists and support the creativity of our young people.
