Let's get repairing!
Got something broken, wobbly, torn or not quite working? Don’t throw it away. Bring it along and let’s fix it together!
The Mahurangi Wastebusters Repair Café is a relaxed, community event where skilled volunteers help you repair, learn new skills and keep great items out of landfill. It’s practical, social, and surprisingly fun.
We'll see if we can bring your items back to life. Bring along your:
- small appliances
- clothing
- bikes
- jewellery
- furniture
- other well-loved items.
Our repairers will show you how the fix is done so next time you might be able to do it yourself.
No repairs needed? Come anyway! Enjoy a cuppa, some home baking, browse the free table, swap ideas and connect with others in the community.
Repairs and café by donation.
Repair stations we hope to have on the day (check Facebook for confirmed repair stations):
- Electrical repairs
- Clothing repair
- Knife sharpening and tool repair
- Sew your own reusable bag
- Furniture repair
- Book repair
- Pest control traps (must be clean)
- Bike maintenance and repair
- Jewellery fixes
- Compost Collective advice
- Darning and knitting

Together we can fix things, learn from each other and reduce items to landfill.
