Join us to celebrate the memoir of Clare Ward, A Place to Stand - her account of a career of 30 years as a country doctor in the Hokianga, the people, the landscape and the stories.
Clare reflects particularly on being Pākehā in a predominately Māori world, writing with respect, whilst also acknowledging her standing as an outsider. She opens a door into the challenging and complex world of a rural doctor.
This is a free event and we will share some tea and biscuits together afterward.
