Explore our space and see how you can get involved, whether it’s volunteering in our native plant nursery, helping out in our teaching garden, or joining our composting community at the compost hub. Learn about the different eco projects and activities you can be part of right here in Kaipātiki.

While you’re here, receive a FREE native plant from our nursery, perfect for your backyard. Come with friends and enjoy a free plant each, while stock lasts! By planting natives, you’ll help create a haven for local birds. More native plants mean more food, shelter and beautiful birdsong around your home.

What to expect on the day:

  • Free native plant for every visitor - 600 plants to give away: Take home a plant for your backyard!

  • Info and volunteering hub: Chat with our team, learn about volunteering opportunities, grab a brochure and join our upcoming workshops.

  • Guided tours through our plant nursery and teaching garden: Join a short tour to explore our space and learn more about what we do.

  • Composting in action: See how our compost hub works and find out how to compost with us.

  • Zero waste station: Discover simple ways to reduce waste at home and in your community.

  • Interactive learning station: Check out our restoration experiments and learn how we’re supporting local biodiversity.
