As part of the Matariki season, we will screen short films from the Māoriland Film Festival, showcasing contemporary Māori storytelling and Indigenous cinematic voices.
Film provides an accessible way for audiences to engage with whakaaro Māori (Māori perspectives) on land, identity and intergenerational responsibility. These screenings create space for reflection and discussion within our community, broadening understanding of te ao Māori through creative storytelling and offering rangatahi and adults meaningful cultural engagement.
