Join us for a free, hands-on workshop where you'll create and personalise your very own Pūrerehua, a traditional Māori instrument.

Using a pre-prepared wooden Pūrerehua, you'll personalise your piece with words or designs using stains, oils, paints or laser etching. You'll then braid and assemble your own cord before taking home a unique instrument of your own creation.

Allow approximately 2 hours to complete your Pūrerehua.

To secure your place, book a free ticket for one of the following sessions:

  • 9am - 11am
  • 11am - 1pm
  • 1pm - 3pm.

Walk-ins are welcome if spaces are available.

This workshop is suitable for adults and people aged 16 years and over. All materials are provided.
