Come and learn the centuries-old art of Flowering Chinoiserie painting, a European decorative style inspired by the opulence of East Asia. It features bold, whimsical bird and botanical scenes featuring trailing branches and vibrant blossoms like peonies or magnolias.

In this brand new 6-week Friday morning class with resident artist Jolie Hutchings (@joliechinoiserie) you will be guided through the process of designing a balanced chinoiserie composition, using age old transfer techniques, handmade stencils and multiple brush techniques with delicate colour palettes.

Acrylic paint will be used and your finished piece will be on stretched canvas.
