The Bean Rock Swim is a unique open-water swimming event. Organised as part of the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series, the event offers swimmers a rare opportunity to race around Bean Rock Lighthouse, one of Auckland Harbour’s most iconic maritime landmarks.
The event is open to swimmers of all ages and we have a variety of distances for different abilities:
- 3.4km for experienced swimmers
- 1.7km for those who aren’t quite up to the full distance
- 800m provides an excellent introduction to open-water swimming while still allowing participants to experience the excitement of the event
- OceanKids 100m and 200m swims which are free for 5-12 year olds.
