New Zealand Opera takes pride in not just preserving the artform, but in pushing opera forward. For 25 years NZ Opera has challenged expectations, pushed boundaries and set new standards, staging more than 500 classic, modern and Aotearoa-made works to a combined audience of more than 800,000.

As well as bringing homegrown opera stars back to Aotearoa, NZ Opera showcases world-class international talent and, through fellowships and collaborative partnerships, offers learning and development opportunities for our next generation of singers.
