Last year the Franklin Arts Festival celebrated its 25th anniversary – a huge milestone for a non-profit organisation (Franklin Arts Festival Society) that was formed in 1989.

One of the main purposes of the Franklin Arts Festival is to celebrate and promote both established and emerging young artists in the Franklin area.

“This is a signature event for Franklin that highlights our creative talent and draws in a lot of visitors over the course of the exhibition,” says Franklin Local Board member Angela Fulljames.

“It is also a great way to build your own art collection as pieces are for purchase.”

Still going strong after 25 years, the annual event not only showcases local talent, but also artists from all over New Zealand and event organisers promise another exciting exhibition.

The exhibition runs for 10 days, featuring the work of more than 180 artists with more than 600 artworks for sale.
