A great place to start is the new path and boardwalk that runs along the edge of Westhaven Marina. The extra-wide boardwalk takes you out over the water with great spots to simply sit and enjoy the view.
Further along at Wynyard Quarter, the Wynyard Playspace and Daldy Street Park will keep kids of all ages busy with a basketball court, playground, water play and super-cool slides.
And with a variety of great cafes and restaurants nearby, take the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed lunch or cool off with a gelato as you carry on your way.
If you like the idea of cruising the waterfront by bike, you’ll find two bike hire stations located at the Quay Street end of Queens Wharf and next to the Karanga Kiosk in Wynyard Quarter.
