Puketāpapa Local Board has published a new brochure for the Waikōwhai Walkway and installed way-finding and information signs along the route to make it accessible to more Aucklanders.
The 10km walkway follows the northern shore of the Manukau Harbour, between Lynfield Cove and the Onehunga foreshore.
Along the way you’ll encounter secret coves, city parks, regenerating native bush, and cliff-top suburbs and lookouts with beautiful views of Manukau Harbour.
The walk can be done in either direction, in one go (taking about five hours), or in one of four shorter loops.
Pick up a copy of the brochure from the local board office at 546 Mt Albert Road, Three Kings, or from Mt Roskill Library.
