Henderson-Massey Local Board has approved $120,000 for local environment programmes over the next year.
Eight of the 11 programmes will be delivered by EcoMatters Environment Trust, a community organisation the board partners with on environment initiatives.
Programmes focused on waste minimisation, environmental education, pollution reduction and community planting programmes are among the initiatives that will be funded.
