Auckland Council’s legal team have picked up a top accolade at the New Zealand Law Awards.
The 44 strong council team won the In-house Legal Team of the Year award.
The team had tough competition, and beat off in-house teams from Auckland International Airport, Fletcher Building and the Fonterra Group to take the top spot in the category.
The council team have been finalists in previous years, but this is the first time they’ve taken home the trophy.
Katherine Anderson – Director Legal and Risk says “This is recognition of the strong external reputation the team has, the breadth and depth of work that the team is involved in, and the team's ongoing focus on serving the council and Auckland."
The New Zealand Law Awards brings together industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the profession.
