They will also receive a free assessment by Auckland Council’s Eco Design Advisor and a free report recommending potential improvements.
Another benefit for landlords is that warm, dry, mould-free homes retain tenants for much longer.
Tenants can also apply. As well as all the benefits of a safer, healthier home, tenants will benefit from lower power bills as insulated homes are easier to heat. They will also get free advice on keeping their home warmer and drier.
All suburbs within the Puketāpapa, Whau and Maungakiekie-Tāmaki local board areas are also delivering the scheme.
