Manurewa Local Board has developed a strategic business plan to enhance David Nathan Park and Homestead.
The site currently offers childcare, and a range of arts and culture, parks, sports and recreation activities funded by the local board and run by Auckland Council.
“This is an iconic site in Manurewa,” says local board chair Angela Dalton.
“We want it to be a popular place to visit, provide benefits to the local community, and be in a good position for business.”
Facility Manager Echo Janman says, “With this approach we’ll see a more connected way of achieving better outcomes, starting with a clear direction and a few key action points.”
New action points include: a marketing strategy for identity and signage, sustainable profit, site renewals and upgrades, improving the cafe space, and building stronger relationships with stakeholders who use the space.
