Installation of Auckland Council's trial signage has now been completed in the following areas:

  • New Lynn town centre with focus on public transport extended to include Fruitvale and Avondale rail stations
  • Northcote town centre
  • Matiatia ferry terminal, Waiheke Island

Wynyard Quarter’s installation has commenced and the Grafton Gully Cycleway signage is being updated. Both are scheduled for completion by mid-April.

The street blade signage in the above areas has been modified as a result of analysis and feedback on trial signage along the Dominion Road Safe Cycle route.

We encourage you to visit the trial areas during the day and at night.

Please provide feedback to the team via the AT website and use the online feedback form.

Signage trial discussion

If you would like to discuss the signage trial with the council's Regional Signage team, they will be on location in the trial areas on the following dates to answer any questions you may have.

New Lynn
Thursday 14 April, 2-4pm
Outside the New Lynn Public Library in Memorial Square

Wynyard Quarter
Wednesday 27 April, 10-12pm
Outside Viaduct Events Centre, Karanga Plaza

Public feedback is open until 5pm on Friday 29 April.

Public feedback, along with trial and focus group findings, will be reviewed as part of finalising the guidelines for the council's overall signage strategy for the region. These will be published later this year.

At that time, any necessary changes will be made to the trial signage to ensure they reflect the final designs.
