Henderson-Massey Local Board has created a 1.4km off-road bike loop at Moire Park.
Starting and finishing at the pump track near the playground off Granville Drive, the loop runs through bush along a trail consisting of gravel, dirt and grass surfaces.
The track is rough in many places. After rain it will be muddy and slippery, and in the drier months it will be hard and fast. “The new off-road bike track offers riders a challenging course with a variety of terrain close to home. It also takes you through some beautiful bush,” says Henderson-Massey Local Board Chair Vanessa Neeson.
When riding the trail, keep an eye out for the orange arrow markers and stay alert for walkers. If you see a fallen tree or dangerous branches, call Auckland Council on 09 301 0101 to report the issue.
