Auckland's purpose-built whitewater park opened to the public on 27 April. Wero (Māori for 'challenge') is New Zealand’s first artificial river and whitewater course.
It boasts Grade 4 rapids and a 4.5-metre waterfall with challenges for all ages and abilities.
The park is located next to the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau and is managed by Second Nature Charitable Trust. Vector is the principal sponsor.
