Dangerous dogs and menacing dogs by breed or type (including pit bull types) must be kept on a leash and muzzled whenever they are outside your fenced property, unless they are confined in a car or cage.

The council's menacing dogs amnesty includes a muzzle, 2016/17 registration, waived infringement fees, de-sexing, microchipping and helpful advice for owners towards their Responsible Dog Owners Licence – all for a flat fee of $25.
