World leaders in technology, design and innovation will share their experience at the first Techweek AKL from 14 to 22 May.
Auckland’s technology expertise will take centre stage at the summit.
More than 40 events are planned – covering topics from virtual and augmented reality to the latest science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) trends; nanotech to biotech; and big data to gaming.
Reshaping our world
Techweek AKL 2016 is based around the theme ‘reshaping our world through design, innovation and technology’.
International experts speaking include:
- leading Hollywood entrepreneur in visual effects and AR/VR Barry Sandrew
- Singapore-based Dr Megan Walters, Head of Research, Asia Pacific Capital Markets at JLL
- Garry Bolles, co-founder of eParachute, a San Francisco-based start-up focused on helping job-hunters and career changers.
Interactive experience
A Techweek AKL 2016 mobile site, which attendees will be given access to on arrival at events, will provide an interactive experience for audiences. Speakers can be asked questions in real-time, you can scan the room to find out who’s attending sessions, give feedback and win prizes.
