Explore the heritage of Three Kings

Did you know that there used to be a rugby field and school where McCullough Avenue in Three Kings is today?

Or that Rose Park, on the corner of Warren Avenue and Mt Albert Road, was the site of the first store in Three Kings? It opened in 1903 to service the nearby veterans' home.

16 sites to see on heritage trail

These are just two of the stops on a 16-site heritage trail launched by Puketāpapa Local Board in October.

The trail paints a picture of the area’s distinct history, in particular its development from a semi-rural district to a thriving suburban area during the early 20th century.
