Roberta Reserve

We’re taking a look at some of Auckland's best playgrounds. This week: Roberta Reserve, 20 Roberta Avenue, Glendowie

Kids of all ages will be begging for another visit after playing at Roberta Reserve's bright and brilliant playground.

There's a wide range of equipment that lets kids to swing, climb, rock, spin, slide and use their imagination.

What's on offer?

There are two climbing frames – one made of rope and one with wood. The larger wooden frame is protected with shade sails and has activities galore in and around it, including a rope net, colourful port-holes, a crawling tube, and a bright green slide.

The rope climbing frame has birds' nests to perch in, perfect for spotting friends off in the distance.

There are swings, of course – for littlies and big kids – and a spinning wheel, too.

The playground is fully fenced for safety.

Plenty of room for games

The reserve itself is on the Tamaki Estuary, close to the water, with a large flat grassy area perfect for kicking a ball around or playing games.

The park includes seating, picnic tables, public toilets and a drinking fountain.
