Auckland ratepayers will receive their first rates notice for the new financial year this week.
The mail-out begins 1 August and will be staggered throughout the week.
Are you signed up for e-rates?
If you receive e-rates you’ll see a few changes this year. The email will include details on your property, what you need to pay and the due date so you don't have to open an attachment.
You’ll also find links directly to stories about council plans and how rates are spent. If you want more information you can still open the full bill.
E-rates bring savings
From August 2016 to July 2017, there was a 30 per cent increase in ratepayers using e-rates and a 5 per cent increase in those paying by direct debit. These conversions bring ongoing savings of more than $72,000 per year.
Sign up now for e-rates to receive your next rates bill (in November) this way.
