The Half Moon Bay public boat ramp and loading ramp has today reopened after being closed due to the serious damage caused by last week's storm.
Auckland Council Head of Operational Management & Maintenance Agnes McCormack says:
“The Half Moon Bay boat ramp has been assessed for damage following last week's storm and has been reopened after being deemed safe.
"However, unfortunately due to the damage to the pontoons at Half Moon Bay, we have had to remove them to be rebuilt and reinstalled at a later date. Until the pontoons are reinstated we ask that ramp users take care when loading and unloading their boats.”
The Half Moon Bay ferry terminal was deemed safe by Auckland Transport engineers and reopened earlier this week after also being temporarily closed due to storm damage.
