With only a few days left in the school holidays, be sure you take your children down to the new the Craigavon Park playground.
The recently reopened playground has been expanded to create an exciting, challenging play space. The equipment includes sliding, climbing, balancing and rope features, which will help aid children’s physical development.
New items include water play features, junior play equipment for toddlers and pre-schoolers, and senior play equipment for older children. There are also ‘mega’ swings and a seesaw.
Seating has been upgraded, and a large circular seat has been installed to take advantage of shade from the tree. There is also a new drinking fountain. A perimeter fence separates the playground from the nearby dog exercise area.
“We are so excited about the new playground!” says Whau Local Board Chair Tracy Mulholland.
“The upgraded facility is designed to be a destination playground to take advantage of the barbecue, toilet and parking facilities already there. It will provide a greater variety of play experiences for a wider age range of children, so bring your family and friends and have fun!”
