Get ready for the Te Oro Presents theatre season, featuring a fantastic lineup of internationally celebrated and award-winning shows. The season runs from Friday 23 August to Saturday 17 November and all tickets are priced between $10 and $15.
Produced by top theatre companies like Indian Ink, White Face Crew and Te Rehia Theatre, as well as a challenging work by contemporary pacific dance company AUĒ, this season will give people plenty to smile about.

Opening the Te Oro Presents season later this month, Indian Ink’s Guru of Chai has won a number of awards and had many sell-out tours around the world. Guru (Jacob Rajan), is a buck-toothed chameleon, channelling 17 characters and dispensing laughter, heartbreak and enlightenment – as well as an amazing live soundtrack provided by his mute side-kick, Dave (Adam Ogle).
Don’t miss the encore season of Ko Auē Teia from 30 August until 1 September. This challenging work by contemporary pacific dance company AUĒ captivated audiences at the Pacific Dance Festival in July at Mangere Arts Centre. A fresh perspective in the contemporary pacific dance world.
Larger Than Life is a musical trip down nostalgia lane produced by Te Rēhia Theatre Company. With three shows in late September, this play will transport audiences back to the golden days of Māori showbands and features music from and inspired by Prince Tui Teka, the Topp Twins, Tim Finn, and John Rowles.
After winning Outstanding Newcomer and Best Show at the 2017 Auckland Theatre Awards, Meet The Fakas is part of the Te Oro Presents season in late October. An epic clash of cultures filled with witty one-liners, awkward situations and laugh-out-loud comedy. Written by Maree Webster and produced by Leki Jackson Bourke.
Wrapping up the season in late November are colourful street characters and physical theatre from the award-winning White Face Crew. Double Derelicts showcases the unique and spontaneous physical comedy this clever crew are famous for. Fun for all ages and guaranteed to amuse.
