Two management plans are being developed to shape what parks on Waiheke will look like in the future, and it’s time to have your say.
Local parks are the heart of the community and Auckland Council wants to hear from as many people as possible on how to make things better for future generations.
The council is inviting comments to be considered in the development of two park management plans:
- Rangihoua Onetangi Sports Park Reserve Management Plan
- Waiheke Local Parks Management Plan
What are the issues that need addressing by the local board? What do you use your parks for and what do you want to see more of?
The plans will:
- provide an opportunity for the community to have their say on how local parks and reserves are used, protected and developed
- address what needs to be considered when developing and enhancing our parks
- help the local board make well-informed decisions about parks
To provide feedback visit the Auckland Council website or use the online interactive spatial tool.
Consultation is open until 20 February 2019.
